4 cups sugar , 2 reserved for filling
5 cups flour , as required
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 cups pecans , chopped fine
2 tablespoons orange blossom water
4 drops water

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2.In a large bowl, mix 2 cups of butter with 2 cups of sugar until creamy.
3.Add salt and enough flour to form a dough. Divide the dough into small balls. Set aside.
4.Mix together 2 cups of sugar with the chopped pecans and add the orange blossom water and a few drops of water to make a paste.
5.Roll out each ball of dough to fit into a hand-held, wooden mamoul mold. Roll and stuff each ball of dough with the pecan paste. Seal with more dough and press into the mold. Repeat with remaining dough and filling.
6.Bake for 25-30 minutes or until lightly golden.
7.Let cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
