Ingredients

2 1/2 lbs lean ground meat ( London Broil or top round )
2 1/4 cups fine ground cracked wheat ( bulgur )
2 cups cold water
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon basil
3 cups onions , chopped fine
1 bunch parsley , chopped
1 large green pepper , chopped
Armenian Steak Tartare (Chee Kufta) is an exciting dish that requires no cooking but packs a ton of flavor. Instructions

1.Rinse the bulgur with cold water and drain. Put the bulgur in a large mixing bowl and add the ground meat. Mix well.
2.Add water, tomato sauce, salt, and basil to the mixture. Mix well again. Then add the chopped onions, chopped pepper, and parsley to the mixture. Mix until everything is well combined.
3.Knead the mixture with your hands for about 10 minutes to combine the ingredients well and to make sure it all holds together.
4.Serve Chee Kufta on a platter as single portions or mounds of meat garnished with flat-leaf parsley, onions, and lemon wedges.
