Ingredients

3 tablespoons butter
1 cup all-purpose white flour
3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 cups of chopped apples
4 tablespoons slivered almonds

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
2.In a saucepan, bring maple sugar or maple syrup and 2 cups of water to a boil over medium heat
3.Stir in the butter

5.Add in the chopped apples and slivered almonds, mixing thoroughly
6.Pour the maple mixture over the apple mixture and stir to combine
7.Pour the mixture into a greased 9-inch square baking dish
8.Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the pudding is golden brown on top, and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
9.Let cool for 10 minutes before serving
