Ingredients

1 lb granny smith apple
1/4 cup granulated sugar
4 tablespoons water
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 lemon , zest of , finely grated
1 lb puff pastry
3 tablespoons marmalade
1/4 cup milk ( for brushing )
Apple Flory is a traditional Scottish dessert that combines sweet and tangy flavors into a delightful treat. Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F.
2.Core, peel and slice apples.
3.In a saucepan, combine sliced apples, granulated sugar, water, cinnamon and lemon zest. Cook over medium heat until apples are tender and mixture is thickened, stirring occasionally. Set aside to cool.
4.Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface. Spread the marmalade over the pastry leaving a 1 inch border.
5.Spoon the apple mixture over the marmalade.
6.Brush the edges of the pastry with milk. Fold the edges over the apple mixture, pressing the corners to seal.
7.Brush the pastry with remaining milk.
8.Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
9.Serve warm or cold.
