Ingredients

1 lb granny smith apple
1/4 cup granulated sugar
4 tablespoons water
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 lemon , zest of , finely grated
1 lb puff pastry
3 tablespoons marmalade
1/4 cup milk ( for brushing )
Apple Flory is a traditional Scottish dessert that is loved by many for its warm, sweet and comforting flavor. Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 200°C.
2.Peel and slice the apples into thin wedges.
3.Place apples, sugar, water, cinnamon and lemon zest in a pan, and cook for 10 minutes.
4.Roll out the puff pastry onto a large baking tray.
5.Spread the marmalade over the pastry, leaving a 2cm border.
6.Arrange the cooked apple slices on top of the marmalade.
7.Brush the pastry border with milk.
8.Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the pastry is golden brown and the apples are tender.
9.Remove from the oven and sprinkle with a little more sugar.
10.Serve hot or cold.
