Ingredients

1 lb granny smith apple
1/4 cup granulated sugar
4 tablespoons water
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 lemon , zest of , finely grated
1 lb puff pastry
3 tablespoons marmalade
1/4 cup milk ( for brushing )

Instructions

1.Peel, core and slice apples
2.Mix together the sugar, water, cinnamon and lemon zest in a large pan
3.Add the apples to the pan and cook until soft
4.Roll out the puff pastry and cut into a circle
5.Place the pastry circle onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
6.Spread the cooked apples over the pastry leaving a small border
7.Brush the border with milk
8.Bake in the oven for 20 minutes
9.Warm marmalade in a smaller pan and brush over the cooked tart as a glaze
10.Enjoy!
