Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 400F.
2.Peel and core the apples and dice them into small pieces.
3.In a saucepan, combine the diced apples, granulated sugar, water, cinnamon and lemon zest. Cook over medium low heat for 10 minutes.
4.Roll the puff pastry into a circle and place onto a baking sheet.
5.Spread marmalade over the pastry.
6.Spoon the apple mixture onto the pastry, but not the edges.
7.Fold the edges up around the apple mixture, giving it a rustic look.
8.Brush the pastry edges with milk.
9.Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
