1/2 lemon , zest of , finely grated
1 lb puff pastry
3 tablespoons marmalade
1/4 cup milk ( for brushing )
Apple Flory is a traditional Scottish dessert that has been enjoyed for generations. This sweet and fruity tart is made with fresh Granny Smith apples that are cooked in cinnamon sugar and layered on top of a flaky puff pastry crust. Instructions

1.Peel, core, and slice the apples into thin wedges.
2.In a saucepan, combine sugar, water, cinnamon, and lemon zest over medium heat. Cook until the sugar dissolves.
3.Add the apples to the sugar mixture and cook until they soften.
4.Preheat the oven to 400°F/200°C.
5.Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into a circle.
6.Place the puff pastry circle on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
7.Spread marmalade on the puff pastry.
8.Place the cooked apples on the puff pastry, leaving 1 inch around the edges.
9.Fold the edges of the puff pastry over the apples, forming a tart shell.
10.Brush the pastry edges with milk.
11.Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
12.Let cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
