1/3 cup whole milk
1 large egg
4 tablespoons unsalted butter , melted
1/3 cup golden syrup
1/3 cup light brown sugar , packed ( Yes , again )
1/3 cup golden syrup ( also again )
1 1/4 cups boiling water
2 tablespoons powdered sugar ( optional )

Instructions
