150 g marzipan
150 g butter

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

4.Peel and core the apples. Cut 6 apples into thin slices, and chop the remaining 4 apples finely. Mix the finely chopped apples with marzipan, sugar, and lemon juice. Spread this mixture on the dough in the cake pan.
5.Arrange the remaining apple slices decoratively on top of the finely chopped apple marzipan mixture.
6.Melt the butter in a pan, add apricot jam with calvados or Cointreau and spread it all over the top of the arranged apple slices. Sprinkle the cut almonds over the top.
7.Roll out the other half of the dough, cut strips, and lay the strips on the apples in a lattice shape.
8.Bake the Apfelkuchen in the oven at a preheated temperature of 180°C (350°F) for 50-60 minutes.
9.Allow it to cool before cutting into slices and serving the delicious Apfelkuchen with baked apples.
