8 tablespoons caster sugar
1/2 cup butter

1 cup self raising flour

Anzac slice is a traditional dessert that originated in Australia and New Zealand during World War I. Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 320°F.
2.Melt the butter in a pan, and add in the golden syrup and baking soda. Stir until well combined.
3.In a large bowl, mix together the flour, oats, coconut, peanuts, corn flakes, and brown sugar.
4.Add the melted butter mixture to the dry ingredients bowl and mix well.
5.Beat the eggs in a separate bowl. Gradually add them to the mixture, stirring well after each addition.
6.Press half of the mixture into a greased and lined baking tray. Layer raspberry jam over the mixture. Add the remaining mixture on top and press down.
7.Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
8.Let it cool down completely before cutting into slices.
