2 cups quick cooking oats
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1 cup white sugar
1 cup melted butter
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons golden syrup
2 tablespoons boiling water

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
2.In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, flour, sliced almonds, and sugar.
3.Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Dissolve the baking soda in the boiling water and add it to the melted butter. Stir in the golden syrup.
4.Pour the butter mixture into the dry ingredients and mix well.
5.Roll tablespoonfuls of the mixture into balls and place them on the lined baking tray. Flatten each ball with a fork.
6.Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
7.Cool the biscuits on the baking tray for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
