Ingredients

1/4 cup rice
70 g anchovies
salt , to taste
mirin ( if you think fish stinks -- it can be obtained at Asian shops )
soy sauce , to taste
1 egg
1 mushroom
Anchovies Rice Porridge, also called 'Sae-oo Juk' in Korean, is a savory dish that is commonly eaten as a hearty breakfast or comforting dinner. The dish has a unique and distinct flavor due to the salty and crisp anchovies, which have been mixed with rice to create a satisfying porridge. Instructions

1.Rinse the rice well and place it in a pot with 3 cups of water.
2.Bring the water to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes over medium heat.
3.While the rice is cooking, clean the anchovies by removing the heads, guts, and backbones.
4.In a separate pan, heat up the cleaned anchovies over medium heat until they become crispy.
5.Remove the anchovies from the pan and set them aside.
6.Add the mirin and soy sauce to the pan and stir-fry for a minute. Then, set aside.
7.Cut the mushroom into small pieces.
8.Once the rice is cooked, add the mushroom pieces and cook for another 5 minutes.
9.Add the anchovies, mirin and soy sauce mixture, and salt to the porridge. Cook for another minute.
10.Crack the egg on the top of the porridge and cook for another minute while stirring the egg into the porridge. Serve hot.
