Ingredients

1 1/2 - 2 lbs beef tips or 1 1/2-2 lbs stew meat
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 packet au jus mix ( 1 dry packet )
1 tablespoon cornstarch
3 cups water
1 teaspoon chopped garlic
1 1/2 teaspoons paprika ( I always use half Hungarian and half reg )
4 ounces tomato sauce
14 1/2 ounces beef broth
3/4 cup corn
2 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon sugar
2 onions ( lengthwise quartered I cut them smaller )
1 diced tomatoes
2 -3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup sour cream
salt or pepper
elbow macaroni ( cooked , drained , buttered )

Instructions

1.In a bowl, mix together the onion soup mix, au jus mix, and cornstarch.
2.Brown the beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then place in a slow cooker.
3.Add the water, garlic, paprika, tomato sauce, beef broth, corn, onion powder, garlic powder, sugar, onions, and diced tomatoes to the slow cooker.
4.Sprinkle the dry mix over the top of the ingredients in the slow cooker and stir well to combine.
5.Cook on low heat for 6-8 hours, or until the beef is tender and falls apart easily.
6.Stir in the butter until melted, then add the sour cream just before serving.
7.Serve over cooked elbow macaroni.
