Ingredients

250 g potatoes , boiled with salt and mashed
300 g beef , cut into small pieces and boiled with pepper powder , salt and yellow powder
2 medium onions , peeled , washed and chopped
4 green chilies , washed and finely chopped
1 pinch turmeric powder
1 tablespoon black pepper
salt
oil , to fry
3/4 cup all-purpose flour ( maida )
Alleh Bolay(Potato Balls) is a popular snack in Ramadan. They are warm and filling and are perfect for breaking the fast. The Beef filling is flavorful while the potatoes add texture and taste to the snack. They are great finger food and perfect for sharing with friends and family during iftar gatherings. The Alleh Bolay(Potato Balls) is easy and quick to prepare, making it a perfect addition to your iftar table.

Instructions

1.Heat 3 tablespoons oil in a pan, add in onions and fry until golden color.
2.Add in beef and stir fry until beef is well cooked, then add in 1 tablespoon black pepper, 1 tablespoon yellow powder, green chilies, salt, and a pinch of Turmeric powder. Mix well.
3.Add boiled and mashed potatoes and mix well with beef mixture.
4.Take 3/4 cup all-purpose flour (maida), and add water until it forms a batter.
5.Make small balls from the potato mixture and coat them with the flour batter.
6.Deep fry the balls until golden brown in color.
