Ingredients

250 g ground beef
1 medium onion , chopped
6 eggplants
2 medium tomatoes , peeled and diced
8 green peppers
1/2 lemon juice
1/2 bunch parsley , chopped
400 g yogurt
5 cloves of chopped garlic
4 tablespoons virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons red hot peppers
AliNazik is a traditional Turkish dish that originated from the Gaziantep region of Turkey. The name 'AliNazik' means 'the beauty of Ali', and it is named after a ruler from the Ottoman Empire. This meal is a popular choice for special occasions, family gatherings, and celebrations. It is a hearty and flavorful dish that showcases the versatility of eggplant, beef, and yogurt. Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
2.Cut the eggplants in half lengthwise, and score the flesh with a sharp knife in a crosshatch pattern.
3.Rub the eggplant with a tablespoon of olive oil, and sprinkle with salt. Roast in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and tender.
4.While the eggplant is roasting, heat the remaining olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chopped onions and cook for 3-4 minutes or until the onion is soft and translucent.
5.Add the ground beef to the skillet, and cook over medium-high heat for 5-6 minutes or until browned. Stir in the diced tomatoes and the chopped green peppers, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
6.In a separate bowl, mix the chopped garlic, chopped parsley and lemon juice into the yogurt.
7.To serve, divide the roasted eggplant halves between plates. Spoon the beef and vegetable mixture over the eggplant, and top with the garlicky yogurt sauce. Sprinkle with black pepper and red hot peppers, and serve hot.
