Ingredients

4 1/2 lbs watermelon , whole , plus
3 cups chopped watermelon
3 quarts water
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 quarts ice cubes

Instructions

1.Cut the whole watermelon into chunks and remove as many seeds as possible.

4.Add the remaining water and chopped watermelon to the pot and stir to combine.
5.Add the pureed watermelon to the pot and stir again.
6.Chill the mixture for at least an hour.
7.Serve over ice cubes.
