African Piri-Piri Kabobs are inspired by the spicy flavors of African cuisine. Piri-piri spice is a popular African ingredient that is made from bird's eye chili peppers, garlic, vinegar, and other spices. This particular recipe incorporates this flavorful blend of spices into tender cuts of beef or venison, which are then skewered with sweet potato and red sweet peppers to create a mouthwatering dish. These kabobs are perfect for grilling outdoors, enjoying with friends and family, or as a meal prep option for the week ahead. They're bold, spicy, and entirely customizable to your personal taste preferences.

Instructions

1.Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
2.Peel and cut the sweet potato into small, bite-sized pieces and set aside.
3.In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, piri-piri spice, paprika, oregano, ginger, cardamom, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and ground piri-piri pepper or red pepper.
4.Add the venison or beef, sweet potato, and red sweet peppers to the bowl and toss well to coat all the ingredients in the spice mixture.
5.Thread the meat and vegetables onto skewers, alternating between the different ingredients.
6.Place the skewers on the preheated grill and cook for 6-8 minutes per side, or until the meat is cooked to your desired doneness.
7.Serve the kabobs hot with your favorite dipping sauce or side dish.
