Aeblegrod, or Danish applesauce, is a traditional sweet dessert made with apples and white wine. It is a simple yet delicious recipe that can be enjoyed as a warm or cold treat. The chunky texture of the applesauce gives it a satisfying mouthfeel, while the white wine adds a hint of complexity to the flavor. While the recipe does contain added sugar, the natural sweetness of the apples makes it a healthier dessert option than many other sugary treats.

.Add the cubed apples and water to a medium saucepan.
.Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to low and let simmer for 15 minutes or until apples are completely soft.
.Remove from heat and stir in white wine and sugar.
.Mash the mixture with a fork or potato masher to create a slightly chunky texture.
.Allow to cool to room temperature before serving.
