Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2.In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook and crumble the ground beef until browned, then drain.
3.Add taco seasoning, water, and chopped onions to the skillet and cook until the onions are translucent.
4.In a 9×13 inch baking dish, layer the ingredients starting with half of the crushed tortilla chips in the bottom of the dish, followed by half of the beef mixture, half of the chili beans, and half of the shredded cheese. Then repeat the layers again.
5.Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
6.Garnish with your favorite toppings such as sliced avocado, diced tomatoes, or shredded lettuce, and serve hot.
