Ingredients

1/2 onion , chopped fine ( Thats almost 1/2 an onion )
1/2 cup fresh cilantro , packed into the measuring cup
28 ounces whole canned tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 lime
2 seeded jalapenos , chopped ( reserve seeds if desired for increasing heat )
cayenne pepper ( optional )

Instructions

1.In a blender, add chopped onion, cilantro, canned tomatoes, chili powder, garlic powder, salt and juice from half of a lime. Pulse blend a few times until all ingredients are combined and tomatoes are crushed.
2.Add chopped jalapenos and pulse blend again until jalapenos are well chopped and ingredients are mixed evenly.
3.Taste the salsa and add any extra salt or lime juice needed. For the heat lovers, sprinkle cayenne pepper over the top and mix in.
