1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 cup chopped almonds
2 cloves garlic , minced
8 chicken thighs , skinned and boned
1 cup bottled salsa
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons dried currants
1 tablespoon honey
3/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
3 cups hot cooked couscous or 3 cups cooked rice
The Million Dollar Chicken - Moroccan Style is a flavorful chicken dish that is both sweet and savory. Instructions

1.Take a skillet and heat 1 teaspoon of oil in it over medium heat. Add chopped almonds and cook for 2 minutes or until lightly browned. Take it out in a bowl.
2.Heat 2 teaspoons of oil in the skillet used above. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds. Add chicken thighs and cook for 7 minutes or until browned. Remove chicken from skillet and keep it aside.
3.Add salsa, water, dried currants, honey, ground cumin, cinnamon, salt and pepper in the same skillet and stir well. Bring to a boil.
4.Return chicken to skillet, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked.
5.Serve hot with hot cooked couscous or rice and sprinkle the almond mixture over the chicken.
