Moroccan Tajine is a traditional North African dish that's slow-cooked in a clay pot called a tajine, which gives the dish its name. The meat and vegetables are cooked in a flavorful broth of spices, chicken broth, and olives, which results in a deliciously fragrant and tender stew. This dish is perfect for a cozy night in or for feeding a crowd on a chilly day.

Instructions

1.Brown the beef or chicken in a hot pan, then transfer to your crock pot.
2.Add all the remaining ingredients except the olives and chickpeas into the crock pot, mix well, and cook on high heat for 4 to 6 hours or on low for 8 to 10 hours.
3.Add in the green olives (optional) and chickpeas (optional) in the last 20 to 30 minutes of cooking time.
4.Serve hot with crusty bread or over couscous.
