Traditionally, it consists of rice, vegetables, meat, egg, and gochujang (spicy red pepper paste), all served in a bowl and mixed together before eating. The name literally translates to 'mixed rice'. The beauty of this dish is that it is versatile and takes on the flavors of whatever ingredients you use. It is a great meal to make when you have leftover vegetables in your fridge that need to be used up.
