Ingredients

2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup condensed milk
1/4 cup dry milk powder
2 teaspoons white sugar , or to taste ( optional )
1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom
1 pinch saffron threads
1/4 cup chopped pistachio nuts
Kulfi is a popular Indian dessert that's similar to ice cream but creamier and denser in texture. It's usually made with milk, sugar, and various flavorings like cardamom, saffron, or nuts. Kulfi is typically frozen in molds or small paper cups and served on a stick or a plate. One of the easiest and most popular kulfi recipes is the malai kulfi, which is made with a mixture of milk, condensed milk, and dry milk powder. Instructions

1.In a pan, add 2 cups of whole milk and 1/2 cup of condensed milk. Heat the mixture on medium heat till it begins to boil, stirring often to prevent burning or sticking to the pan.
2.Reduce the flame to low heat. Add 1/4 cup of dry milk powder, 2 teaspoons of white sugar (optional), and 1/2 teaspoon of ground cardamom. Mix well to combine and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes.
3.Add a pinch of saffron threads and 1/4 cup of chopped pistachio nuts. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
4.Remove the pan from heat and allow the mixture to cool completely. Once cool, pour the mixture into kulfi molds or small paper cups. Cover with foil or airtight lids and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight.
