6 eggs
1 1/4 cups white sugar
2 1/2 tablespoons water
1 1/2 cups cake flour

Instructions

1.Beat the eggs in a large mixing bowl.
2.Add in white sugar and water and mix well until sugar dissolves.
3.Sift in cake flour and baking powder in batches. Mix well each time.
4.Stir in almond extract.
5.Pour the batter into a greased 8-inch round cake pan.
6.Steam the cake over high heat for 30-40 minutes until fully cooked.
7.Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
8.Dust with confectioners' sugar before serving.
