Instructions

3.Beat eggs and milk together in a bowl.
4.Place flour in a separate shallow bowl.

6.Dip floured tomato slices into egg mixture, letting excess drip off.
7.Press slices into cornmeal mixture until evenly coated on all sides.
8.Heat vegetable oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
9.Fry tomato slices until golden brown and crispy, about 3 minutes per side.
10.Drain fried tomato slices on a paper towel-lined plate.
11.Mix sweet pickle relish, mayonnaise, and hot sauce together in a small bowl to make quick remoulade sauce.
12.Serve fried green tomatoes with remoulade sauce.
