Ingredients

1 pound peeled crawfish tails
1 1/2 tablespoons Creole seasoning , or to taste
1/2 cup butter
1 onion , finely chopped
1 green bell pepper , finely chopped
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 cup water , or to taste
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
3 small bread loaves

Instructions

1.Toss the crawfish tails with Creole seasoning in a bowl. Set aside.
2.Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onions, bell peppers, and garlic; sauté until tender, around 5-7 minutes.
3.Add the seasoned crawfish and increase the heat to high. Stir well and sauté for around 10 minutes, until the crawfish are pink and tender.
4.Add the water and pepper; let it come to a boil. Dissolve the cornstarch in 2 tablespoons of water; stir the mixture into the skillet. Turn the heat down to low and cook the mixture for another 5 minutes.
5.Cut the bread loaves in half and scoop out some of the bread from the inside. Place the bread shells on plates and spoon the crawfish mixture into them.
6.Serve hot and enjoy!
