Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2.Cream together softened butter with sugar for at least 5 minutes until light and fluffy. Add finely ground walnuts, vanilla extract, and salt, then beat another minute. Gradually mix in the flour until just combined.
3.In another bowl, mix white sugar with cinnamon.
4.Roll the dough into small balls (about 1-inch in size) and coat them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
5.Place each ball onto a baking tray with parchment paper and flatten them with a fork or the bottom of a glass.
6.Bake for approximately 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven when the shortbread starts to turn light golden brown, being careful not to overbake.
