1/2 teaspoon stevia extract

1 tablespoon vanilla
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup orange marmalade ( see Citrus & amp ; Sweet Wine Marmalade )

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F and line a square baking dish with parchment paper.
2.In a small bowl, mix together ground flax seeds and hot water and set aside.
3.In a large mixing bowl, beat vegan margarine, sucanat, dark brown sugar, and stevia extract until creamy.
4.Add peanut butter and vanilla to the bowl and mix well.
5.In a separate bowl, whisk together whole wheat flour, sea salt, nutmeg, baking powder, and baking soda.
6.Slowly add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until a thick batter forms.
7.Mix in the flax seed mixture and stir until well combined.
8.Fold in the beans and pour batter into prepared baking dish.
9.Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
10.Let cool for a few minutes before glazing with orange marmalade and slicing into bars.
