1 1/2 cups cooked rice ( cooked halfway )
1 medium carrot , grated
1 medium onion , finely chopped
1 stalk celery , finely chopped
1 head cabbage

Susan's Best Cabbage Rolls are a traditional Eastern European dish that have been enjoyed for generations. Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2.Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
3.Carefully remove the leaves of the cabbage and place them in boiling water, cooking for about 5 minutes.
4.Once cooked, remove and let them cool for a few minutes.
5.In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, veal, pork, cooked rice, grated carrot, finely chopped onion, and celery.
6.Season with salt and pepper.
7.Take one cabbage leaf at a time and place it flat on a board.
8.Add a spoonful of the meat mixture to the inner bottom of the leaf.
9.Roll up the cabbage leaf, tucking in the sides.
10.Place each cabbage roll seam-side down in a baking dish.
11.Pour the tomato sauce over the cabbage rolls, making sure they are fully covered.
12.Bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until the cabbage rolls are cooked through and the sauce is bubbly.
13.Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
