Instructions

1.In a medium saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter. Stir in sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract until well combined.

4.Press mixture into an ungreased 9×13 inch baking pan.

7.Spread mixture over the crust, smooth out the top, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
8.In a small saucepan, melt the chocolate baking square and 1 tablespoon of butter over low heat, stirring constantly.
9.Spread melted chocolate over the top of the cherry layer.
10.Chill for at least 1 hour, or until firm before cutting into bars.
