Ingredients

2 packages cream cheese , at room temperature
1/2 cup butter , at room temperature
salt
2 -3 sprigs fresh dill
1/4 cup fresh dill , chopped
1/2 lb smoked salmon , sliced
assorted bread and cracker

Instructions

1.In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy.
2.Add salt and dill sprigs and mix well, remove the sprigs afterward. Stir in the chopped dill.
3.Using a 4-inch ring mold or cookie cutter, cut out 12 circles from the sliced smoked salmon.
4.Place a circle of salmon into the mold or cutter and spoon in enough cream cheese mixture so that it is level with the salmon.
5.Add another slice, and then spoon in more cream cheese to form the next layer.
6.Continue until you have used all the salmon circles and cream cheese, ending with a layer of salmon on top.
7.Refrigerate for at least three hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
8.Unmold and serve on a platter with bread and assorted crackers.
