Instructions

1.Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2.In a medium mixing bowl, combine mushrooms, pizza sauce, chopped onion, and chopped green pepper if using.
3.Cut the mozzarella cheese into small pieces.
4.Prepare the salami or ham by cutting it into small pieces or strips, set aside.
5.Cut the tomato into small pieces or thin slices if using, set aside.
6.Open each hot dog bun or bread and place each half side on a baking sheet.
7.Spoon the mushroom mixture on top of each bun half ensuring that it covers the surface equally.
8.Place some cheese pieces on top of the mushroom mixture, then some salami or ham, then tomato slices if using.
9.Place the buns in the oven and bake for approximately 10-12 minutes or until the cheese is melted or golden brown.
