Ingredients

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup tightly packed dark brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 cup plump moist dried sour cherries ( optional )
8 ounces bitter chocolate ( can use chocolate chips ) or 8 ounces semisweet chocolate , chopped into chunks about the size of the cherries ( can use chocolate chips )
1 cup english toffee pieces , such as Skor Bits
Chocolate fudge cookies with toffee and dried cherries are a decadent twist on the classic chocolate chip cookie. Instructions

1.Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and lightly grease two baking sheets with non-stick spray.
2.Sift together the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt in a bowl and set aside.
3.In a mixing bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well.
4.Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring until just incorporated.
5.Fold in the chocolate, toffee, and dried cherries.
6.Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
7.Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, until the tops are slightly cracked and the edges are set.
8.Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
