Ingredients

2 medium rutabagas , peeled and diced ( about 6 cups )
water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup breadcrumbs , fine and dry
1/4 cup cream
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs , beaten
3 tablespoons butter

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375 F (190 C).
2.Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add diced rutabaga and cook until tender, around 10-15 minutes. Drain off excess water.
3.In a separate bowl, mix together breadcrumbs, cream, nutmeg, salt, and beaten eggs. Add mixture to rutabaga and stir well.
4.Place the mixture into a greased casserole dish and top with butter.
5.Bake for around 45-60 minutes until the casserole is golden brown.
