Ingredients

2 lbs lean boneless beef stew meat
1 can diced tomatoes
2 teaspoons beef bouillon powder
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 garlic cloves , minced
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1 medium onion , chopped
8 large green chilies , roasted , peeled and chopped
3 medium potatoes , diced in 1 inch cubes
1 cup water
1 -2 medium jalapeno pepper , seeded and sliced ( optional )
1/3 cup cilantro

Instructions

3.Add the beef and any remaining beef bouillon mixture to a crock pot.
4.Add in the diced tomatoes, chopped onion, roasted and peeled green chilies, diced potatoes, water, jalapeno pepper (if using), and cilantro. Stir to combine.
5.Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the beef is tender and the potatoes are cooked through.
6.Season with salt to taste before serving.
