2 1/4 ounces fleischmann 's fast rising yeast
3/4 cup warm water
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar or 1 1/2 teaspoons Splenda sugar substitute
6 cups warm water
1 cup cracked wheat flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/3 cup brown sugar or 1/3 cup Splenda brown sugar blend
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup warm milk
6 - 6 1/2 cups white flour
1 tablespoon margarine

Instructions

1.In a small bowl combine the yeast, 3/4 cup warm water, and 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar.
2.In a separate bowl, mix together 6 cups warm water, cracked wheat flour, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, and salt.
3.Add yeast mixture to the bowl and beat on low until well mixed.
4.Add in the warm milk and 6 cups of white flour, 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.
5.Add the margarine and continue beating on low until dough forms and begins to pull away from the sides of the bowl.
6.Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead until it's smooth and elastic.
7.Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover and let rise for 1-2 hours in a warm place until it's doubled in size.
8.Punch the dough down and divide it into 4 portions.
9.Shape each portion into a loaf and place them into greased bread pans.
10.Cover the loaves and let them rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
11.Preheat oven to 375° F (190° C).
12.Bake the loaves for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and they sound hollow when tapped on the bottom.
