125 g flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 tablespoon sugar ( optional )

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 180C / 350F. Grease and line a 15cm / 6 inch square baking tin.
2.In a mixing bowl, mix the desiccated coconut, honey, applesauce, and beaten egg.
3.In a separate mixing bowl, mix flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, cinnamon, clove, ginger, and sugar.
4.Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients mixture and mix until well combined.
5.Pour the batter into the prepared baking tin and smooth the surface.
6.Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and set.
7.Remove from the oven and let cool in the tin for 5 minutes before removing and slicing into squares.
