3/4 teaspoon baking powder
2/3 cup half-and-half
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2/3 cup dried currant
12 ounces imported white chocolate , chopped ( such as Lindt )
1 cup unsalted butter , room temperature
12 ounces cream cheese , room temperature
3 cups toasted sliced almonds
orange slices or orange peel , ribbon

Instructions

5.Transfer batter to the prepared pan. Bake until tester inserted into the center comes out clean, about 50 minutes. Cool cake in pan on rack.
6.To make the frosting, melt white chocolate in the top of a double boiler over simmering water until smooth. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Can take a few minutes to cool down but do not freeze or refrigerate. Using an electric mixer, beat butter, cream cheese, and cooled white chocolate in a large bowl until smooth and fluffy. Spread frosting atop cake.
7.Sprinkle with almonds, pressing lightly to adhere. Refrigerate until frosting is set, about 1 hour.
