Nuss Dreiecken is a traditional German pastry that has been enjoyed for generations. These nut-filled pastries are made with almonds and walnuts, making them rich in protein, fiber, and healthy fats. The combination of raspberry preserves and nuts gives this pastry a delicious sweet and nutty taste that is hard to resist. The dough is light and flaky, making it the perfect base to hold the nutty filling inside. These pastries are great for special occasions or just a delicious treat to enjoy during a coffee break. Make sure to drizzle some melted chocolate on top for an extra indulgent touch!

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2.In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, sugar, egg and 1/2 cup butter/margarine to form a dough. Knead the dough, then shape it into a ball. Chill the dough for 30 minutes.
3.Roll out the dough on a floured surface. Cut the dough into triangles. Spread raspberry preserves on each triangle.
4.In a saucepan, melt 3/4 cup butter with water and sugar. Add ground almonds, chopped almonds and chopped walnuts until mixed. Place a spoonful of nut mixture on each triangle.
5.Roll the triangles up and tuck the edges to keep the filling in. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
6.Bake the Nuss Dreiecken for 22-25 minutes or until golden brown.
7.Melt 6 ounces of milk chocolate with 1 teaspoon milk, stirring until smooth. Drizzle the melted chocolate on the top of each Nuss Dreiecken.
