3 -4 celery ribs , and tops chopped
1 bay leaf

Instructions

1.In a large pot, place cubed pork roast or chicken breast, potatoes, water or chicken broth, onion, celery, bay leaf, salt, and pepper. If using, add sliced carrots.
2.Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer and cook for approximately 30-40 minutes, or until the meat is tender.
3.In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
4.In another bowl, beat eggs and milk. Gradually add the flour mixture into the egg mixture, stirring until fully combined.
5.Use a spoon or your hands to drop bits of the dough into the pot of soup.
6.Add milk or cream to the soup and stir. Simmer for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the dumplings are fully cooked. Remove the bay leaf, and serve the soup hot.
