1 goose
2 cups water
1 small onion , sliced
1 1/4 teaspoons salt ( I use sea salt )
6 cups breadcrumbs
3 tart apples , diced
4 tablespoons melted butter
2 cups celery , chopped

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
2.Remove neck, gizzard and heart from goose cavity and reserve for another use.

10.Roast for another hour, then remove the stuffing and reserve it for serving. Continue to roast the goose until done.
11.When finished, remove the goose from the oven and allow it to rest for 15-20 minutes before carving.
