Ingredients

2 cups cider vinegar
2 cups water
1 onion , sliced
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons salt
12 whole peppercorns or 1/2 teaspoon cracked pepper
3 whole cloves
2 bay leaves
1 lemon , quartered

Instructions

1.In a large pot, combine cider vinegar, water, onion, sugar, salt, peppercorns, cloves, bay leaves, and lemon.

3.Remove the marinade from heat and let it cool down to room temperature.
4.Place your beef in a large bowl or resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over the beef.

6.When ready to cook the meat, remove it from the marinade and discard the leftover marinade.
