Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (218 degrees Celsius).
2.In a large mixing bowl, combine the rye flour or whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, and brown sugar.
3.In a separate bowl, beat the egg and add the buttermilk. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix well.
4.On a floured surface, knead the mixture into a ball of dough.
