Instructions

1.Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

4.Open the beer can and pour out (or drink) about half of the beer. Add the minced shallot and lemon juice to the can. Place the can inside the beer can chicken holder.
5.Place the chicken over the can, inserting the can into the cavity of the chicken.
6.Place the chicken on the grill and cook for 60-90 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the thickest part of the chicken reaches 165°F.
7.Remove the chicken from the grill and let rest for 10 minutes. Discard the beer can and carve the chicken to serve.
