Ingredients

1 package refrigerated sugar cookie dough
flour , to dust ( optional )
24 lollipop sticks
6 6 ounces white almond bark or 6 ounces butterscotch chips
1 tablespoon shortening ( optional )
royal icing
assorted small decorative candies

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2.Roll each slice of cookie dough into a ball, and then flatten slightly so they form discs.

4.Remove from the oven and insert the lollipop sticks into each cookie.

7.Dip each cookie into the melted bark or chips one by one, shaking off any excess.
8.Immediately sprinkle the cookies with assorted small decorative candies.
9.Place each cookie pop onto another sheet of parchment paper and allow to cool and harden completely.
10.Decorate with royal icing as desired.
