Ingredients

4 veal cutlets , pounded thin ( or pork )
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons butter or 4 tablespoons oil
2 large onions , chopped
4 tablespoons butter
2 red bell peppers , chopped
1/2 lb peeled chopped fresh tomato
1 1/2 teaspoons sweet paprika ( preferably Hungarian )
2 cups beef broth
1/4 cup cream
3 tablespoons flour

Instructions

1.Season the veal cutlets with salt on both sides.

4.Remove the onions from the skillet and place on a plate to the side.
5.Increase heat to high and in the same skillet, place cutlets.
6.Cook cutlets for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
7.Remove the cutlets from the skillet and place them on the same plate with the onions.
8.In the same skillet, add 4 tablespoons of butter and the chopped red bell peppers and sauté for about 4 minutes until they are tender.
9.Stir in peeled chopped fresh tomato and paprika, and sauté for another 5 minutes.
10.Slowly pour in beef broth, stirring until well combined, then return the veal cutlets and onions to the skillet.
11.Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
12.Stir the flour into the cream to dissolve it.
13.Stir the cream mixture into the skillet containing the veal cutlets.
14.Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
15.Plate the veal cutlets and spoon the sauce on top. Serve and enjoy!
