Ingredients

1 kg fresh mussels ( with shells )
200 ml tomato sauce
200 g lemons
100 g onions
3 garlic cloves
4 teaspoons olive oil
1 teaspoon chili
5 teaspoons fresh parsley
1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
salt
1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1.Rinse and scrub mussels under cold water, remove beards or any dirt.
2.Mix tomato sauce, lemon juice, chopped onion, minced garlic, olive oil, chili, salt and pepper in a bowl to make a sauce.
3.Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat, add the sauce and cook for 5 minutes.
4.Add mussels, cover and cook for 5 minutes or until mussels are open.
5.Sprinkle parmesan cheese and chopped parsley over the mussels, serve hot.
