1 lb Italian sausage
1 lb mozzarella cheese , sliced very thin
3 cups ricotta cheese
3 garlic cloves , minced
1 tablespoon basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cans ready cut canned tomatoes
2 cans tomato paste
10 ounces lasagna noodles
1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons parsley flakes
2 eggs , beaten
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Lasagna is a classic Italian dish that has been enjoyed for generations. Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2.Brown Italian sausage in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove from pan and drain off any excess fat.
3.In the same skillet, add canned tomatoes, tomato paste, minced garlic, basil, and salt. Simmer for at least 30 minutes.
4.In a separate bowl, mix together ricotta cheese, beaten eggs, parsley flakes, salt, and pepper.
5.Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
6.Layer uncooked lasagna noodles on top of the sauce.
7.Spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture on top of the noodles.
8.Add half of the cooked sausage on top of the ricotta cheese.
9.Add a layer of sliced mozzarella cheese on top of the sausage.
10.Repeat the layers, using the remaining ingredients.
11.Top with shredded parmesan cheese.
12.Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
13.Remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Let the lasagna cool for 15 minutes before serving.
